2023 Spring and Summer Fashion Trends

Today I am going to share some bright ideas for spring and summer fashion. There are Trends Galore this season and there are a few of them that you may have already lurking in your closet.

So what I thought we could do today is sort

of a broad brush of ideas and thoughts

around what may be in your closet.

What you may want to add to your wardrobe this season generally. What I'm seeing and how to sort of put together a couple of great looks for this season.

The Button Down

Button-down shirts are a huge Trend

right now we all have them in our

closets and they look amazing. they're so

easy to work with but we often Overlook

them for our summer and spring wardrobes.

Button-down shirts

They tend to be something. We pull out in

the fall and winter but I would encourage you to reimagine your button-down shirts roll up the sleeves tie them at the waist wear them with shorts, wear them with jeans.

They're a great look and they add a lot of Polish to your outfit kind of give it that elevated look foreign denim. We're seeing a lot of fun things going on in denim. 

I've been really thrilled to see that we have so many options. We have looked for every figure type right now and it's wonderful for so long .everyone was wearing just the skinny jean and for some of us they

didn't look so great.

 I'm one of them. I'm a person who really didn't look great in skinny jeans. so I've been

thrilled to put together outfits with

some of the new Styles and I would

encourage you to splurge on a new pair

of jeans get one of the fresh Silhouettes.

Take some time to try on the different Rises,the different leg Styles,the different profiles. I think that this is an area where you may want to splurge a little this season especially. 

If you find jeans that you really love.

you may be interested in what's really

trending.

The light washes are really trending. This is something that I personally am not that Keen on it and so when I consider what I would invest in terms of my own wardrobe. 

I would spend less on a light wash Jean and more on a dark wash that I could wear

seasoning in season out more.

Trousers 

In the pants realm 1990s the pleated front trousers are really hot. I bought a couple of pairs a couple of years ago and I am still really loving them.

I purchased them in linen and I've

worn them for two seasons now they are

super comfortable .They're the wide leg.

They're cinched at the waist they do all

the good things about the Hourglass and

pear-shaped body types. 

I think it may be a little bit harder for an apple shaped body type to wear this style.

However, if you are one who can wear them.

they are great ,they're fresh .You can wear

them with a more delicate shoe depending

on your style and depending on whether

you're going for a day or evening look.

Super versatile type of pants

 This is something that I would invest in and

when I invested in mine a couple of years

ago the investment that I made was. I

bought two pairs one in a cream color and

one in sort of a caramel brown.

 Neither pant was super expensive but that's

another way of investing in a style that

you really like and maybe not spending

you know a huge amount on one pair but

just maybe buying it in a couple of

different colors. So you have a different a couple of different colorways.

Midi and Maxi

Midi and Maxi lengths are going to be

really hot this summer. I already have my

eye on a couple of skirts. I've purchased

a maxi dress for the season already and

I'm super excited about this trend.

I've been seeing a lot of skirts also with

beautiful floral skirts and some of them

have an elastic waistband. Which you can

turn into a dress. You can pulll it up to

the chest and wear and belt it and wear

it as a sundress.

If you're interested in following the trend

and having a wardrobe item that can do

you know more in your closet. I would

recommend one of these seasons maxis

skirts or midi skirts depending on your

height and depending on what looks good

on you.

Scarves

Scarves are making a comeback and last summer I played around with my scarf collection. I haven't seen anybody else wearing scarves.

I haven't seen people wearing them in real life. I did wear mine last season but I feel

like I was the only one. If you have a lot of scarves in your closet and you have some that are particularly conducive to spring and summer. I would encourage you to play around with them a little bit.

I tried mine as a belt with my jeans. I tried mine as a hair band which I loved. I haven't really worn it around the neck.

The way we used to nor have. I tried any of the elaborate scarf-tying techniques but if you are interested in sort of playing with

scarves .

Scarf-tying techniques

There are a bunch of different ways that people are wearing them.Some of them are still tying them on their handbags handle and so there are a bunch of different ways to kind of perk up an outfit with a scarf.

Shoes

In the shoe category, we're still seeing

the sneakers. The sneakers are still going strong. I have been seeing some people move from the white sneaker to the black sneaker or a black and white Adidas sneakers with stripes.

I had a pair for a few months .They weren't the right size. I ended up returning them but I really like the way that they looked with my joggers. I thought that black joggers with black Adidas tennis shoes were really hard to come by when I went to replace them and get the right size. 

 

I wasn't able to that's why I don't have them to show you today. I think that's sort of a cool thing and we're still seeing the white sneakers and then we're seeing things in all different heights.

 

So we're seeing the ballet flats. I'm already seeing women wearing them here in Tampa.

Ballet flats

You know it's a big thing. When it hits Tampa and the other day we were sitting in Hyde Park and I saw a young woman after young woman, after young woman go by in ballet flats.

 

The Mary Janes are still out there .We're going to be seeing the Mary Jane kind of strap detail on a lot of the ballet flats but we're also seeing heels and wedges and I thought, I haven't been seeing a lot of people wearing wedges here in Florida.

 

They are still fun. I personally would still wear them and still do wear them and I'm also noticing that the dress shoes are with a slightly lower heel.

 

So if you love nice dress shoes and you're looking for something with a slightly lower heel instead of the Stiletto. We're seeing a lot of nicer lower-heeled shoes and so there are a lot of great things to find in the shoe department.
