50 others had to be assessed at the scene with two air ambulances in attendance. It's reported that some of the children were trapped inside the bus these pictures were taken by those traveling past the scene a little earlier.

One woman was taken to hospital. Two children were taken from the seeds of the Children's Hospital 50 of the children were taken to an emergency training center for automatic assessment and eight of those children have been taken to the councils of Chester and Arrow Park hospitals for thoughts and condolences available to their families and friends at the start of time.

Family liaison officers are providing special support to both families and we are working with the school's Council and Chelsea West councils to ensure the necessary control supports are in place for the children on the bus.

We also know that all the children from both schools were on buses traveling homeboy with the bus involved in the incidents support the motivated factors to be closed for the number of hours whilst investigative workers tally downs and we will make the diagnosis for their patients while the investigation is ongoing.

Diversions are in place and we encourage people where possible to take off into boots

The motorway remains closed. We know that emergency services were called here this morning shortly after 8:00 after reports of that bus crash now.

This is one of those stories that is so rapidly moving and it will continue to develop but here's a little bit about what we know so far we know that a bus according to police uh collided with a car and then hit the central reservation close to Junction 5 on the M53.

The bus was carrying School pupils from C Day Grammar School and West Kirby Grammar School for Girls.

Ambulance Service has also declared a major incident we know from them that the 50 people aboard the bus were assessed at the scene and that one the female was taken to a nearby hospital having suffered major trauma-related injuries. local hospitals like Children's Hospital have put out a statement online following an incident on the M53. We have called a major incident. Our emergency department is currently extremely busy and would ask parents to only bring their children to the department if it is urgent so clearly there's been reaction from across the Northwest all emergency services have been here.

Two air ambulances also involved um and as I said before this is one of those stories that will continue to develop as the day moves on.

NHS staff have actually come off the picket lines elsewhere in the WHL indicating the sort of emergency responses had to be absolutely and this is one of those stories where speculation will be rife.

People will hear Chinese Whispers and it will become it will snowball almost and that's why Emily Spurl is asking people not to do so. Because of course family parents friends of those who have children at those schools will of course be concerned uh so it makes sense that actually people stay away from uh posting online with whatever they think may have happened and instead uh wait for people such as the media or official Outlets such as the emergency services to bring us the latest and and tell us a little bit more about this particular area.

We think this was the Northbound carriageway at 8:00 in the morning clearly at the height of Russia when this happened we assumed that this was going to be a really busy Motorway. It would have been indeed this is were really quite close. You can hear cars still making their way around the ring Road.

People traveling around the Northwest it's a major thoroughfare for people on the commute in the morning. I would imagine the traffic will have been quite busy at this point in the morning on a working day so uh we can only imagine exactly what would have been going on and uh a worrying time of course for all parents and families.

We know about the two schools involved they've been named C Day Grange Grammar School and West Kirby Grammar School which I think is a School for Girls as I mentioned those are both high schools in this area that also have a six-form which means it's year 7 to 11 plus the six form age uh which is year 12 and 13.

This means the pupils will be aged 11 to 18 of course uh it's not the entirety of a school that will be on board it will only be a select few pupils um so we're yet to find out exactly what the age range is of those pupils who were on board uh but I'm sure that will be some information that we get as the day goes on and clearly looking there behind you we expect this stretch of Motorway to be closed for some time yet as the rescue and Recovery operation continues absolutely.

Police have advised people to avoid this area completely and to find other rots because of course uh with something as large as a bus.

This isn't as simple as perhaps a normal car crash with something as large as a bus of course we've seen the pictures a a rescue operation will now be underway to try and move uh the bus itself but of course, there are many people involved who will now have to be uh potentially taken to other locations. This will now take some time to try and clear it up.

Mark Thomas the early manager of the major science said that I can confirm that to date most sad fire and rescue services attended the incident. Grant describes on the M53 Northbound carriageway we mobilized two appliances from a local station and our search and rescue team.

It's a report of a school bus that had overturned firefighters worked with Emergency Services colleagues at the scene to stabilize the vehicle. We guaranteed the scene was protected and we helped losses get to the transport working mutually with our police and rescue vehicle partners soon after we had the option to help the setbacks onto a second mentor to get care away from the scene.

Our activities are at present downsizing and right now we stay at the scene in participating protecting the scene with Merseyside police while an examination is led the contemplations of everybody at Merseyside fire and salvage administration are with the companions the associates and the groups of those associated with this awful episode.

Joanne Clegg area director for the Northwest Ambulance Service says that firstly I would like to pass on our condolences to all those involved in this incident. This was because of the possible number of losses required thus we sent a significant number of ambulances senior clinicians and our unsafe region reaction groups.

We can confirm that there were two fatalities as a result of this crash two patients were taken to Older Hay Children's Hospital with serious injuries in addition we have taken a number of patients to surrounding hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.

The children were transported to a casualty clearing Center at the emergency service training center in Wallasey.

Assessments have taken place by our clinicians at the emergency service center and patients there are being discharged as I say into the care of their parents on a small number are taken to the hospital for further treatment.

I would like to thank our Emergency Services colleagues for their support and for ensuring that the scene was safe so we were able to identify the most seriously injured while safeguarding all those involved in this incident.

I might want to communicate my earnest sympathies to the loved ones of those impacted.
